Scott County Dog Rescue is a volunteer, non-profit 501 (c) organization developed to provide assistance to homeless dogs in Scott County, IL. Since our inception in August 2003, not one healthy stray dog has been euthanised in Scott County! Tax deductible donations can be sent to SCDR, c/o P. O. Box 22, Winchester, IL 62694. We are a foster-home network licensed by the Illinois Department of Agriculture and do not have an actual shelter. Arrangements to meet our available dogs need to be made with the foster home, and we are always in need of more foster families to provide temporary care for the homeless dogs. We are grateful to rescue-friendly Bourn Veterinary Services in Murrayville, Ghrist Veterinary Clinic in Pittsfield & Carrolton and Griggsville - Pittsfield Veterinary Clinic for discounting veterinary services for our rescue dogs.
