HAUNTED TRAIL WAS INCREDIBLE...a huge THANKS to the Jackson Family for hosting it in their massive backyard, and especially to Lisa for developing her brainchild and working her butt off to recruit her family and friends - and the whole time, adopted Daisy sleep on the kitchen floor!
Otherwise, how can you help??...we recycle aluminum cans for the Danny Wynn Memorial Spay and Neuter Program, recycle toner cartridges and cell phones, collect items for our annual rummage sale and are always in need of cash donations, old blankets/rugs/etc., and dry dog food. We are also selling coupons for Bergner's Community Days in November.
Scott County Dog Rescue is a volunteer, non-profit 501 (c) organization developed to provide assistance to homeless dogs in Scott County, IL. Since our inception in August 2003, not one healthy stray dog has been euthanised in Scott County! Tax deductible donations can be sent to SCDR, c/o P. O. Box 22, Winchester, IL 62694. We are a foster-home network licensed by the Illinois Department of Agriculture and do not have an actual shelter. Arrangements to meet our available dogs need to be made with the foster home, and we are always in need of more foster families to provide temporary care for the homeless dogs. We are grateful to rescue-friendly Bourn Veterinary Services in Murrayville, Ghrist Veterinary Clinic in Pittsfield & Carrolton and Griggsville - Pittsfield Veterinary Clinic for discounting veterinary services for our rescue dogs. And of course - we thank those whose donations and support allow us to continue our mission. We wouldn't be here without the support of our adoptive families and community supporters!!
