| Our Featured Pet: Our pet of the month is Konerko
Konerko is a happy, handsome, active and extremely sweet 25-pound, seven-month-old Pit Bull-Mix looking for a loving home. This little boy is small for his age and has slightly bowed legs and chest. But, his minor deformities don’t slow him down at all. Konerko was among 37 pit bulls and mixes rescued following the largest raid of a pit bull fighting operation in South Holland, Illinois. The dogs were temperament-tested and the nicest ones that will make wonderful pets are being re-homed. Konerko was never fought; he’s an innocent puppy, who like all young dogs needs daily exercise and some training to develop into a great pet. Konerko is crate-trained and working on his house-breaking. He absolutely loves other dogs, is very playful and is fine with older children.
