Hi I'm Monty. I am what your call a weimeraner designer dog. I am about 3 - 4 year old. Some people say that I am very unusual looking.
Well... I almost didn't get on Petfinder because my foster family decided to go away for a few days and left me with a babysitter. I AIN'T NO BABY! So I decided to take a little v-a-c-a-t-i-o-n of my own.
So I did the countryside. Farmland, horses, pigs. Yeah, I saw it all. At the end of my trip I found a cozy spot on someones front lawn and bunked out there for a few days... UNTIL SOMEONE FINKED ME OUT AND CALLED ANIMAL CONTROL! WHAT A DRAG! I was gettin' hungry anyway... and they were pretty nice to me. They even found my foster mom. She was happy to see me and I was happy to see her!
Monty's ideal forever home should include:
- Fenced yard, oves the outdoors
- Home without cats
- Parents that can calm Monty's fear of thunder

Food Pantry - Our pantry is low, please help by donating unopened cans or bags of cat and/or dog food.Foster Parents - We continue to rescue dogs and cats that are neglected or abandoned, we need foster parents that can provide temporary housing for these guys until permanent homes are found.
Volunteers- Looking for phone coordinators. If you are a good communicator, can work with Excel spreadsheets and can help field our calls on a 2 week schedule from your home, we want you!

Who We Are
The Kankakee County Animal Foundation, a 501(c)3, is comprised of volunteers who have been dedicated to the needy and helpless animals in our community for the last 15 years. We are one of a few rescue groups that function solely on volunteers and donations. We do not have a brick and mortar facility. Our pets are in foster homes and thus an appointment is necessary to view any of our great pets. The assistance that we provide includes: humane investigations to help stop animal abuse; low-cost or free spay/neuter services; temporary foster care; veterinary care for animals in need; school programs on pet safety; and adoption fairs to place pets in loving homes. All of these services are provided through donations and fundraisers coordinated by our volunteers.
