The South Suburban Humane Society will always strive to be the leader for animal advocacy in the community by offering diverse resources and programs that lead to the humane treament and care of animals.
The South Suburban Humane Society is dedicated to promoting the well being of animals in those communities we serve through the care and sheltering of animals needing protection, investigative practices that will prevent abuse, the education of the public as to ownership responsibilities and providing adoption services.
We are open to the public on Monday and Wednesday 12 noon until 7 pm; Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 12 noon until 5:00 pm. We are also open on Sunday from 1:00pm until 4:00 pm. We are closed on Tuesday. Plan to spend an hour at least visiting our shelter.
We are in Chicago Heights, 3 blocks north of of Route 30 (Lincoln Highway) and 3 blocks east of Halsted Street.
