WE CANNOT ACCEPT ANYMORE CATS OR KITTENS AT THIS TIME.
ATTENTION DOG LOVERS! WE NEED YOUR HELP! We need volunteers to help us train and socialize our shelter dogs. The more hands on time they get the better but with so many animals to care for we can't do it alone. If you can help take a shelter dog or pup to class we would be happy to hear from you, give us a call at (815)232-6164. (must be 16 years or older to handle dogs) TRAINING CLASSES ARE EVERY THURSDAY FROM 6:00PM-7:00PM
The mission of Friends Forever Humane Society is to provide a temporary home for stray, unwanted, and abused companion animals of Northwest Illinois. To create an aware and caring society by educating the public in the humane care and treatment of animals, to promote spaying and neutering to reduce pet overpopulation, and to promote animal welfare throughout the county. Friends Forever Humane Society is a non-for-profit companion animal welfare organization, not an animal rights organization. We do not take a stand on hunting furs, or other animal rights issues. We remain focused on the welfare of companion animals. Friends Forever Humane Society and the Friends Forever Public Dog Park DO NOT recieve funding from city, state, or county taxes.

Obedience classes are required for puppies and some dogs.
If you are not located in the Freeport area please contact us before coming out to our facility. We would not want anyone to make a long trip just to find the animal is already adopted.
We only adopt within reasonable distance of our area. We do not ship animals.
Remember each animal is individual, it is important to get to know them and make sure they will be a good match for your family. We will gladly assist you in the process of finding your forever friend.
