Who We Are

Welcome to the Animal Welfare League. Thank you for visiting our site! Visit our kennels and meet some of the greatest pets in the world. We have hundreds (really) of wonderful furry friends to choose from. Stop in soon and take a look.

The Animal Welfare League is a full service shelter with a clinic that is open to the public, a pet supply store and complete dog training services. All of our pets come with a 10 day health guarantee, all shots and Avid microchip. We even supply a leash and collar!

The AWL has a dogs, cats, rabbits, or small pets for every family. As one of the largest shelters in the state of Illinois, we have the experience and resources to match you with the perfect companion. Visit our kennels today. You might just find your new best friend!

Donations

Please consider a donation to the Animal Welfare League! All donations are tax deductable and go directly to the animals in our care. The AWL receives no monies from state, federal or local governments. We depend on your generous help to survive.

Location

The Animal Welfare Leage is located at 10305 Southwest Hwy. in Chicago Ridge Illinois.

Hours

Our adoption hours are:

• Monday through Friday: 12 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
• Saturday and Sunday: 12 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

We receive animals from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.

We receive stray animals 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. After 11:00 p.m. a police escort is required.
