Hi, and welcome to PAWS (Pets Are Worth Saving, Inc.)!! Thank you for visiting our website. We hope you can learn something about us, and in the process, find a companion animal or two to take home with you. Every animal shown on our website is looking for a home and a family to love. As you look at them, please give them serious consideration. PAWS' Place Adoption Center is located at 139 East Vienna Street in downtown Anna, IL. Our telephone number is (618) 833-DOGS (3647). We are open on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday,and Saturday afternoons from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., and on Friday from 1:00 until 7:00 p.m. We are closed on Sundays and Mondays. We continue to rescue unwanted and stray dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens, and are now able to provide the public the opportunity to meet and get acquainted with these precious little ones. If you are interested in adopting, please e-mail Carol at pawspawscs@yahoo.com, and she will get back to you as soon as possible. If you live in the area, please come see us!! If not, please keep us in your thoughts. We need monetary donations badly in order to keep this wonderful operation going, so, if you are able, please send whatever you can. At the present time, PAWS' Place is full of kitty grins and doggy smiles. Please help us keep it that way!!
Who We Are
Pets Are Worth Saving,Inc. (PAWS) is a not-for-profit, no-kill animal welfare organization. PAWS was founded as a means of dealing with the increase in the animal population--specifically dogs and cats--in the Union County(Illinois) area. PAWS was formed primarily to prevent the destruction of valuable, adoptable animals. PAWS is solely funded by donations and fund raisers. PAWS rescues and makes available for adoption homeless and unwanted animals.
Adopting a Friend
Adoption Fees: ONLY ILLINOIS CHECKS WITH PROPER ID CAN BE ACCEPTED. WE ASK OUR OUT OF STATE ADOPTERS TO PLEASE BRING CASH.
Dogs: The adoption fee for all PAWS' puppies and dogs is $150. When you adopt your new dog or puppy, it will be spayed or neutered, wormed, micro-chipped, and up to date on its shots, with the exception of its rabies shot, which must be given by a vet.
Cats: The adoption fee for all PAWS' kittens and cats is $70.
When you adopt your new cat or kitten, it will be spayed or neutered, wormed, micro-chipped, and up to date on its shots, with the exception of its rabies shot, which must be given by a vet.
We certainly recommend that you continue your pet's routine vaccination regimen with your veterinarian.
IF YOU RENT, YOU MUST BRING A SIGNED RENTAL AGREEMENT FROM YOUR LANDLORD STATING THAT IT IS OKAY FOR YOU TO HAVE AN ANIMAL IN THE HOUSE. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A RENTAL AGREEMENT, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TAKE THE COMPANION ANIMAL OF YOUR CHOICE HOME WITH YOU.
