River City Pet Rescue consists of a small group of volunteers that is dedicated to helping animals. We rescue orphaned, abandoned and abused dogs from local shelters. RCPR is a not for profit organization the relies solely on adoption fees and donations. This allows us to continue the never ending task of helping animals.
Breed misidentification is a scary thing in a time breed specific legislation is growing.... Pit Bull dogs are often blamed for dog attacks that may very well have been caused by an another breed...Can you identify a pit bull?
Foster Care and Donations
RCPR provides medical care, vaccinations, worming and altering upon receiving any animal. We provide all foster homes with food, bedding and a crate (if necessary). We gladly accept donations of cat or dog food, preferably containing no by-products, bedding, dog houses, cleaning products, toys, crates, etc...
Adopting a friend
If you are interested in adopting an animal from us, please email us at
rivercitypetrescue@yahoo.com and ask us for an adoption application. The reason for this is to familiarize ourselves with your situation and find the best possible match for you and your new companion.
