Unaltered DOGS - $12.00 yearly
Altered DOGS - $ 6.00 yearly PLEASE BRING A COPY OF YOUR PETS RABIES CERTIFICATE TO THE POST FALLS POLICE DEPARTMENT AT 1717 E POLSTON TO PURCHASE YOUR PETS LICENSE. WE ARE OPEN 24 HOURS A DAY, 7 DAYS A WEEK.
Post Falls Animal shelter has DOGS ONLY. We do not accept dogs from the public. We impound stray dogs from the city of Post Falls, Coeur d'Alene, and Kootenai County Animal Control as well. We do not impound cats or any other animals. We are located at 805 N Auto Row, next to the Post Falls Mazda. If you are looking for your dog, please check the "Dogs Currently at Our Shelter" section. DONATIONS
We are accepting only sealed dog food donations at this time. We do appreciate your blankets and beds so our dogs have a warm place to sleep.
RESCUES
Post Fall Animal Safety is very RESCUE FRIENDLY!!! We are always looking for a place for these homeless pups to go. Contact Roger Huntman at 773-3517 to make arrangements for a dog you would like to rescue.
ADOPTING
Post Falls currently impounds dogs from Kootenai County, the City of Coeur d'Alene and the City of Post Falls. Dogs that are picked up within Post Falls are available for adoption 3 days after they are impounded. Kootenai County and Coeur d'Alene dogs are available for adoption 5 days after they are impounded. This does not include Holidays or weekends.
Our adoption contract requires that any unaltered dog be spayed or neutered and licensed within 30 days of adoption. Please contact Animal Safety directly at 773-3517 for more information on adoption.

If you are looking for a particular breed of dog, please send a request to Roger Huntman. You will be contacted when a dog that meets your description becomes available.
Please keep in mind that this website is updated as often as possible by the Post Falls Animal Control. Our shelter is open to the public Tues - Sat 9am to 5:30pm for redemtions, viewing, and afternoon adoptions.
