Meet Sadie. Sadie is a female Rottweiler mix. She is approximately one year old and a TOTAL SWEETIE! She loves to play but will settle down when asked. She's looking for her forever home!!
The Jerome Animal Shelter works hard for our dogs! Check out this big fella! Our last featured tail-wagger had been in the shelter since February and desperately needed a permanent home. His time with us was nearing an end as shelter living in a long-term situation is not good for a dogs health - physically nor mentally. So while we weren't able to find him a permanent home, we were able to place him in a rescue group in the Treasure Valley area. This transfer will facilitate Buddy finding a wonderful, permanent home. And prevented us from having to euthanize a wonderful dog!
We would like to thank all those involved in helping place Buddy as well as all the wonderful volunteers and rescue groups actively working with us to ensure no dogs will have to die needlessly due to lack of space. Thanks for all you do!!!
What We've Been Doing
Things are kicking into high gear at the shelter, that's for sure! A volunteer program has been instituted and now the dogs in our care are getting a lot more attention and some much needed one-on-one attention/training.
We recently held our First Annual K9 Shine dog wash. In spite of the cold and rain, our day was a wonderful success. We want to thank the community for coming out and supporting us!

Spring is here and we're heading into fund raising mode! We have a lot of plans for the future such as building a large dog run, improving the inside environment and so much more.

Who We Are
The City of Jerome Animal Shelter is a non-profit organization. We are primarily responsible for collecting and relocating dogs, but also aid in most animal complaints within the city.

Please come to the shelter and support us in our efforts to place our four-legged friends into caring homes. These animals do not deserve to be "thrown away" - they are loving, devoted and loyal friends and deserve so much better!
