The City of Jerome Animal Shelter is a non-profit organization. We are primarily responsible for collecting and relocating dogs, but also aid in most animal complaints within the city.
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday: 2pm to 6 pm
Saturday: 10 am to 2 pm
All others by appointment by calling dispatch at 208-324-1911 and asking for Animal Control to call back and make an appointment time
We're working hard on getting dogs out there for the public to see. We are getting our shelter dogs appearances on the morning news, and this has helped increase the shelter visibility.
We can Always use volunteers, foster families, donation or any ideas you may have.

Thank you to Sawtooth Veterinary Hospital for their donation of the Bow Wow Park! We now have an area to let the dogs out to play and meet possible new owners. This was a very generous and wonderful donation!
Did you know that Black Dogs are generally the last to be adopted and are euthanized in shelters in much larger numbers? People may consider them too “plain”, or simply don’t notice them because their dark color makes them disappear in their kennels. Whatever the reason, black dogs are not given the attention they deserve. So PLEASE give our black dogs and chance! Come meet them, spend some time with them in our new Bow Wow Park and see how much they have to offer!!
