Who We Are
The Bannock Humane Society is a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to improving the lives of companion animals. We have a building located at 850 Barton Road in Pocatello, Idaho. Animals are not housed in this building. All of the pets are "fostered" in the homes of volunteers. This building is used for monthly meetings, shot clinics, show and tells for adoptable pets, and much more.
Pets adopted through the Humane Society come from many backgrounds. Some are pets from owners trying to find new homes, some come from the city shelter, and some have been abandoned or abused.
Adopting a friend
The adoption fee includes a spay/neuter and some vaccinations.
Come Visit Us!
We hold adoption days one Saturday of each month in our building from 12 - 4 pm. Pets are brought to "Show and Tell" so you can meet the dogs and cats that are looking for a loving new home. You will have a chance to talk with the foster parents to find out more about the pets. We also have information available on animal issues, and experienced staff who can help with general animal questions.
