Panhandle Animal Shelter also uses foster homes for those animals that need special care, overflow or can be better cared for in a home environment. If you are interested in fostering an animal, please contact the shelter for an application.

Fees
$70.00 adoption fee for dogs, and $45.00 for cats ($10 off animals 1 year and older). "Bonded Pair Pricing": Adopt a set of friends and only pay the cost of one adoption. Contact the shelter for more details.
Adoption fee includes first shots/worming, spay/neuter, collar & ID tag and a free health exam with one of our local area veterinarians.

Panhandle Animal Shelter is located in Sandpoint, Idaho about 60 miles south of the Canadian Border on Hwy 95. Please contact the shelter for specific directions.

Description
Panhandle Animal Shelter is a non-profit shelter whose mission is to:

Provide humane care and treatment for homeless dogs and cats in our care.

Seek homes for homeless dogs and cats of Bonner and surrounding counties.

Promote active spay and neuter programs.

Seek to return lost dogs and cats to their owners

Hours
Open 7 days a week, Noon 5:30 PM Monday thru Saturday and Noon to 4:30 PM on Saundays
