Our motto is: Helping to build a community of compassion and kindness toward all animals
Second Chance Animal Adoption is a non-profit organization run by a board of directors. Second Chance has many dedicated volunteers that help to make this organization run efficiently. We have a thrift store which helps to financially support our mission. We also support our work though donations.
Our mission reads:We strive to act as faithful stewards for all abandoned, lost, homeless, and abused animals entrusted to our care in Boundary County, with the ultimate goal of finding lifelong, loving homes for every one.
At the present time, Second Chance Animal Adoption cares for cats at our thrift store and dogs through foster homes. We are currently working on building a shelter to house all cats and dogs. We are actively seeking more foster homes to help with the overpopulation of animals. We show pets by appointment, at the convenience of those who call.
The fee for adopting a mixed breed dog is $70; puppies are $90 and pure bred dogs vary in adoption fees. Cats are $40 and kittens are $50, which includes spaying/neutering, de-worming, and vaccinations.
We welcome comments or questions so feel free to call and chat with us (208-267-7504). You can also stop by our thrift store to view the adorable cats and kittens. The thrift store is open for shopping and donations Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm and Saturdays from 10am to 3pm. We are located at 6647 Lincoln St. Bonners Ferry, ID 83805. (208-267-2815).
