The Bonneville Humane Society is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to the humane treatment of animals. We care for and adopt out unwanted or abandoned animals. We provide humane education and services that support the human-animal bond and seek to foster an environment in which people respect all creatures.

Currently we can house up to 3 dogs at a time and 30+ cats at our facility, and we are working with the Idaho Falls City Animal Shelter to rescue unwanted animals. We are always looking for foster homes, people that can open up their hearts and homes, so that we can save the lives of more dogs and cats.

Adopting a companion animal is a lifetime commitment, and we do our best to ensure that the potential "parents" understand this. You must fill out an adoption form with all your information. We reserve the right to check on the pet via 2 unannounced visits within the first year of adoption. If you would like to adopt a dog, please note that you must have a fenced-in yard. Acreage without a containment system will not be acceptable. Also, we do not put any type of hold on any animal. It's a first-come, first-serve basis. You must also meet the adoption requirements.

The Adoption fee for dogs: medium and large breed dogs:$80.00 and up Small Breed:$ 125.00 Toy Breeds: $130.00-$ 150.00

The Adoption fee for cats/kittens: $ 70.00

The Adoption Fee includes an initial vaccination, rabies shot and the spaying or neutering of any animal over the age of 8 weeks.

All of our animals are spayed or neutered prior to adoption.

The Bonneville Humane Society is located just 2 ½ blocks north of the Museum of Idaho, at 444 north Eastern Ave, here in Idaho Falls.
