Buena Vista Cat & Dog Rescue League is located in rural Newell, Iowa
but also serves nearby communities in Northwest Iowa, such as Storm
Lake. BVCDRL is a state-licensed, 501c3 non-profit NO-KILL
organization dedicated to
saving the lives of unwanted cats and dogs. We routinely rescue animals
who are about to be euthanized in kill shelters. These animals receive
the care they need and are housed in an open, loving environment until
they are adopted. In addition, we provide low cost, no
cage boarding that is
handicapped animal accessible
to help when you cannot be there to take care of your pet.
BVCDRL does not receive any funds
from the county or state, nor does it receive any type of grant funds.
We survive solely on sponsorships and private donations.
To
see pictures and learn more about our shelter, our animal adoptions,
boarding your animal with us, and ways you can help our shelter, please visit our main website.
You will also find a map to our location.
Our animals are constantly
changing. To see them all, please call the shelter and set up an
appointment.
Looking forward to hearing
from you soon!

In the time it took you to get to this page, eleven cats and dogs were
euthanized because there were no available homes for them. The birth
rates in the United States for pets are 7:1 to humans. This means to
keep up with the status quo, every person born in the US would need to
adopt 7 pets to keep them from being euthanized. |
