It's kitten time again!! and we have some of the most adorable small kittens you can possibly wish for. Because we take such good care of our pets here at the sanctuary, our kittens are exceptionally healthy and happy which means that when you adopt from us your new kitten will be disease and problem free. We take care of all the work, you just provide the home and it must be a "forever" home. That's all we ask.
Our Featured Pets...
Lindie a Ragdoll male cat, declawed a little older but so friendly. He was found abandoned on a farm, just think of it! This beautiful cat must have had a home all his life and then found himself alone, outside and completely lost. Now he's a little sad but waiting patiently for his "forever" home to appear. Could that be you?
Petco June Adoption Event!
Saturday, June 13th from 10am - 4pm at the Iowa City/Coralville Petco store, we'll have our latest and greatest cats and dogs on display. This month we also have two very special Himalayan adult cats which will be there looking for their new homes. See pet profiles on our Pet listings.
If there is a pet you would like to adopt that is not going to be at the store, please send us an e-mail in advance of the event and we'll try to bring him or her to the store.
Fulfill your Dream to Work with Rescued Animals!
Our summer intern program has started June 1st and is a great opportunity for students and adults to work at our shelter and receive training in different areas of animal rescue. Anyone over the age of 18 interested in being a part of this program please e-mail us at interns@heavenlypet.org for more information. We will be admitting interns all throughout the summer and fall months.

Come Visit Us!
Directions to Heavenly Pet Sanctuary are easy. Once in the city of Fairfield head south from Burlington Ave. (Hwy 34) on Route 1 (or any southbound street) until you get to Fillmore, go west until you reach S. 7th St. and turn left; you are now on Liberty Dr. Follow this road and in less than a mile it leaves the city limits and you will be out in the country, where it becomes Key Blvd. The shelter is the first property on the right hand side, sitting right where the road turns sharply to the left. Turn in the driveway and you will immediately see our address, gate and sign. The main cat shelter house is right behind that, with one of our smaller cat shelter buildings on the left. There will be lots of animal greeters to show you the way!
Alternate Directions are: Take Rt 1 south from Hwy 34 to Hwy 43 (sign before intersection says Jefferson Cty Park); turn right and go under 1 mile to Key Blvd., turn right and the sanctuary sits on the left hand side right on the bend in the road which goes to the right. There are pine trees out front, turn left into our driveway, through the red gate and you will see our sign on the right along with the cat shelter, park your car and welcome.
Directions coming in from Hwy 34: There is now a four-lane highway coming into town from the east and the west. From either direction you would exit on the 2nd Fairfield exit--Rt 1, Main St. and go north towards town; the very first intersection is Libertyville Rd. and you would turn left and the follow the directions above.
