When it was discovered that one of my previous owners had allergies, I came to live at the shelter. Because I'm going through my grieving process, I am hoping to find a new forever home where all the attention will be on me...one where I will be the only child. I'm rather laid back and calm, but will poke your hand with my head when I am in need of attention. It's at that point when you will discover that my goal is to make my way onto your lap. I adore my scratching posts and am looking forward to breaking a new one in. Won't it please be in your home? Photo Courtesy of Ames Photo.
My adoption fee is $105.00
When my previous owner had to undergo heart surgery, it was determined he could no longer care for me so I came to meet he folks at the shelter. I'm a little nervous around all the new faces, so I've proved somewhat standoffish, but I am beginning to come around. Because I'm such a high energy pup, I'm hoping to find a forever home with active people who will frequently exercise me in order to wear me out. After all, a worn out dog at days end is a happy dog indeed! Already housetrained, I'll go to the door to alert you when I need to potty. Won't you please stop out and meet me today? When my previous owner grew older and started getting more involved in school activities, he realized he no longer had the time to devote to me. With a heavy heart, he released me to the shelter so I could find a new forever home. That said, I need for you to know that I have been one spoiled boy indeed! I prefer fresh fruit and vegtables to dry food, and my favorites include carrots, celery, green peppers, grapes, apples, and orange quarters. (I'll squeal when I hear the fridge open and hope that you'll come to recognize it as my desire for a treat.) I enjoy my time out of my cage and will spend most of it by your side, or on your lap, as I am not one to run off and hide. I tolerate warm baths but am not so tolerable of dogs, cats, or small children. They scare the living daylights out of me. I like being petted on the top of my head but only in a frontwards motion, never backwards, and I have the time of my life making tunnels out of throw blankets. A complete goofball, I'd make a funny addition to your home . Won't you please consider me today? My adoption fee is $25.00
