Please, if you have any animals that live outside, take them indoors during the hottest and coldest months. They will thank you for it and so will we!
Sweet Survivors Change of Mission
In August of 2006, it became neccessary for us at Sweet Survivors to make a change to our rescue mission. Due to a lack of foster homes, we have decided to not take any new dogs into our program. We will still work with local shelters and individual owners in placing their dogs by listing available, vetted animals on this Petfinder webpage. No dog will be adopted through Sweet Survivors that is not altered. For the foreseeable future Sweet Survivors will not take in any new animals for care.
News
In August of 2005, the American South experienced one natural disaster after another. When nature turns a rough hand to people, it hurts their animals as well. One of our volunteers was able to go and help at Best Friends/St. Francis Animal Sanctuary in Tylertown Mississippi. This trip allowed us to see first hand that the caring spirit of animal loving people is alive and doing well. It will be many months until the devastated areas are fully recovered, so please keep these people and their animals in your hearts.
With the help of dedicated volunteers, Sweet Survivors was able to find new, loving homes for 18 dogs In 2003. Thank You to all the new families who opened their homes and hearts to these special dogs!

Who We Are
Sweet Survivors Dog Rescue is an all volunteer group dedicated to finding new, loving homes for dogs that have been released or rescued from commercial breeding situations. Many of our dogs have been neglected and some have been abused. Virtually all these dogs come into our program as frightened, lonely, dogs who only see humans as bringing pain. Sweet Survivors Dog Rescue works hard to change this for our animals and show them kindness, caring, and understanding.
