Hero's Haven Animal Rescue
Our Mission
Hero's Haven Animal Rescue is a foster-based rescue established in 2019 with foster homes across Eastern Iowa. We also have cats and kittens available for adoption at the PetSmart in SW Cedar Rapids. We are a non-profit, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization and licensed with the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship.
Adoption Policy
Our adoption screening process is as follows:
1) Potential adopters should complete the adoption application at https://heroshavenanimalrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms.
2) We will do a background check and contact your personal references as well as your vet reference if you currently have or have had pets in your home.
3) We will do an adoption interview and may request a home visit.
4) If/when approved as an applicant, a meet and greet with your preferred animal will be arranged to ensure it is a good fit for both you and the dog or cat.
