The Emmet County Animal Shelter is an all-volunteer group of individuals dedicated to the adoption and welfare of companion animals. Â The ECAS works to educate the general public on humane topics affecting both people in pets in NW Iowa and beyond.

Adoption Policy
It takes a very special person to choose adoption! Most animals are homeless through no fault of their own, so please get to know a shelter pet and consider opening your heart and home to one (or two!). If you are interested in adopting, visit our webpage at emmetcountyanimalshelter.org and fill out the application found on the homepage.
We work very hard to find lasting love through adoption for our furry friends and would like them to meet your entire family, including other pets, to ensure their next home is their FOREVER home! Adoption is a fun & fur-filled family affair at ECAS.
