Prairie States Doberman Rescue - Iowa
Who We Are
Prairie States Doberman Rescue – Iowa, is a division of A.P.E. (the Animal Protection and Education Charity) of Greene County. Prairie States Doberman Rescue – Iowa, does not have a shelter; we list Doberman Pinschers in need from across Iowa. Prairie States Doberman Rescue – Iowa, lists available animals as a public service for our Doberman friends.
Adopting a friend
Animals reside at area shelters, with their owners, or with an A.P.E. foster family, and are seen by appointment with their care providers.
Adoption fees vary from animal to animal depending upon the veterinary care that has been provided to the animal while in the program. Please remember that every animal available for adoption through an A.P.E.-affiliated organization is fully-vetted for its age and only needs routine preventive care. Dogs older then 6 months of age are heartworm tested; all cats are tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FELUK/FIV). All dogs are kept on heartworm preventative. Every dog and cat is vaccinated (age appropriate), microchipped, and de-wormed, in addition to being spayed/neutered.
