The GDCDM Rescue program provides rescue for Great Danes in need of good homes. The Danes come to us from animal shelters, owner releases, as strays, abandoned and/or abused.
We are not a shelter and do not have one location to house our dogs. Our volunteers foster the dogs in their homes until we can place the dogs in their forever homes.
Please note: Our adoption area is typically IA, MN, eastern NE, and eastern SD. We will consider applications slightly outside of our normal area, but please check with the Dane rescue groups in your area first.
We do NOT ship dogs.
Adopting a friend
To apply to adopt a dog from our group, please complete an Adoption Application and agree to our Terms of Adoption.
Once the application is received, we will schedule a volunteer to meet with your in your home. After that, potential adopters are encouraged to meet any dog in our program in which they might be interested in adopting.
Our adoption fee is $200.
