Shelter Update! Our building is under construction and we are planning to open in May.
Who We Are
Loess Hills Humane Society, Inc. (formerly ARFS) will soon be opening our 6,200 sq. ft. facility that is located at 21600 221 St,, Pacific Junction (between Glenwood and I 29 on 221st Street South). We are providing animal control services for the unicorporated part of Mills County and issuing dog licenses at this time.
Adopting a friend
For suitable homes, our adoption fees for dogs and puppies are $125 and for cats and kittens $75.
The adoption fee for dogs and puppies includes: Heartworm check, vaccinations, altered, and microchipped.
The adoption fee for cats and kittens includes: Feline leukemia check, vaccinations, altered and microchipped.
Some adoptions are from private residences right now and adoption fee might not apply. These are courtesy listings and not from LHHS
