Who We Are
The Animal Welfare Services, Inc. (AWS) is dedicated to helping the homeless, stray, and unwanted animals in the Waverly area. However, the Waverly Branch of the Animal Welfare Services (Waverly Humane Society), is currently referral only. We are no longer operating in Bremer County. The Waverly Humane Society (WHS) has merged with the Animal Protection and Education Charity (APE). If you have questions or concerns about an animal that you have previously adopted from us, please contact: United4ape@hotmail.com 515-460-SPAY (7729) Please indicate that your pet came from Bremer County. Owners can list their pet as needing a new home and we help get the word out. AWS (dba WHS / APE) is a501c3 non-profit as of February 10, 2009. We accept all donations, cans (refundable), food, litter... almost anything. Private placement services rely GREATLY on donations. We could not keep helping pets without donations from generous individuals. If you are interested in making a donation, please feel free to email anytime. We also accept PayPal donations by using united4ape@hotmail.com. The funds are used primarily for medical care (including the spay and neuter) of our adoptable animals. WHS is a solely volunteer organization, no funds are spent on administrative staff! Please note we are a non-profit charity and donations are tax deductible.
