Roxxy is a little rat terrier in need of a loving home. We care for her a lot but she needs a home of her own. She is 5 yrs old, spayed and up to date on shots. She needs a home with no large dogs, no cats and no kids under 12. She would be great for an older couple or a single person. She is housebroke and crate trained. She has soo much love to give to the right family.
News
We will soon be adding a Malamute mix to our rescue as well as a couple of small mixed dogs, Chihuahua/Dachshund crosses.
Who We Are
We are a small home run rescue located in Cedar Falls, Iowa. We take in the amount of animals we have room for. All animals will be vaccinated, vet checked and spayed or neutered before adoption. All animals will be placed in good loving approved home. I am doing this because I love animals and hate to see them put down due to people not spaying and neutering their pets.
I have made a lot of rescue friends, if you are looking for a specific dog or kitty, chances are I can locate one at one of the many shelters across the country. If your home is approved that dog or kitty can be moved here to Cedar Falls, Iowa and then adopted to you. I would much rather have a person request a certain breed of pet and go through me or a shelter then to purchase one from a pet store or a back yard breeder.
Adopting a friend
Our adoption process is as follows: Contact me and I'll send you and application, once application is returned to me I"ll check out your vet. references, if everything is great up till that point, then we'll schedule a home visit. If all goes well at your home visit, then your adoption will be approved and you can have your new family member.
My adoption fees are $65 for kitties and $80 and up for dogs. Most dogs will be in the $80 range but they sometimes run more due to expensive veterinary treatments I've paid for. Rest assured I make no money on any of our rescued animals. My hope is to break even or to just recoup. some of my costs.
Kitties come with a collar and any toys they may love. Dogs come with a collar and any of their special things. All animals will come with veterinarian records and rabies tags/certificate. You may required to purchase a crate or other things for your new pet.
Rescued...A dog's Baggage
Now that I'm home, bathed, settled and fed,
All nicely tucked in my warm new bed,
I'd like to open my baggage lest I forget,
There I so much to carry - So much to regret.
Hmm ... yes, there it is, right on top;
Let's unpack Loneliness, Heartache and Loss,
And there by my leash hides Fear and Shame.
As I look on these things I tried so hard to leave -
I still have to unpack my baggage called Pain.
I loved them, the others, the ones who left me,
But I wasn't good enough - for they didn't want me.
Will you add to my baggage?
Will you help me unpack?
Or will you just look at my things -
And take me right back?
Do you have the time to help me unpack?
To put away my baggage, to never repack?
I pray that you do - I'm so tired you see,
But I do come with baggage
Will You still want ME?
