The Moultrie/Colquitt County Humane Society and Animal Shelter is starting a new year with hopes that this year will be a great sucess. Animal Adoptions have been up over the past year and many postive changes have taken place within the shelter. Please drop by and visit with our staff and consider giving one of our babies a home .
Who We Are
The mission of the Moultrie/Colquitt County Humane Society is the prevention of cruelty to companion animals, to educate the general public of the responsibility and proper care and treatment of companion animals. To find good homes for any animal that is entrusted in our care. We are a Non -profit organization, and licensed by the Georgia State Department of Agriculture. Please note that we are also Animal Control for the County and many of our fine pets end up being euthanized because we do not have enough adoptions or space to house them all. After verification, we do work with certified Rescue Groups to help find homes for our pets.
Adopting a friend/Making a Donation
All adoptions are $85.00 which includes spay/neuter,parvo/distemper vaccine,feline distemper/vaccine, complete physical exam, rabies vaccination and micro-chip installed. If you are interested in one of our little friends, please e-mail us at humanesocietysec retary@moultriega.net with the name of animal you are intersted in, along with a return contact number or e-mail address and someone from our shelter will be in contact with you. Making a donation is just as simple as clicking the "Donation" button below and adding the amount you would like to donate. All of the money donated goes directly to the care and feeding of our pets. Donations can be made through PayPal or with a credit card. One of our long term goals is to build a larger facility to allow us to become a no-kill operation. Thank you in advance for your donation.

We are located at 1412 1st Street N.E. Pets are available for adoption Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m.-6:00p.m. Keep in mind that we close at noon on Wednesdays. We are closed on Saturday and Sunday.
