She came to PAWS with burned feet so she may walk funny for the rest of her life but now that she is in a foster home, she has learned how to play, how to love, and how to enjoy life. We need your help! We are currently looking for foster families who are able to open their homes and hearts to give a loving animal a second chance at life the way it should be! If you are able to help foster or volunteer in any other way, please call or write to PAWS! WE ARE IN DESPERATE NEED OF FOSTER HOMES!!! Your help is needed urgently! If you are looking to help an animal but don't want a lifelong committment, this is PERFECT for you! Please consider fostering a pet until a permanent home can be found. By fostering a pet, you are helping PAWS save one more animal from a life of hunger, homelessness, and desperation. All animals deserve a good, loving home. Time committments can be as little as 2 or 3 weeks or as much as 1 year or whatever time frame you can give!

Who We Are
P.A.W.S (Pets Are Worth Saving) is a 501 (c)3, NO-KILL non-profit animal rescue organization based in Effingham County, GA with volunteers throughout the Coastal Empire. PAWS is dedicated to saving animals and ensuring that they have a loving, healthy, happy place to live. PAWS screens potential owners before allowing any of our wonderful animals to be adopted. Only responsible owners will be considered. This ensures that the right match is being made for both the potential owner and the animal! There are numerous dogs and cats available for adoption through PAWS right now. Many of them can be seen at Petsmart on Abercorn St (204) in Savannah on 1st,3rd and 5th Saturday afternoons from 2pm to 6pm and 2nd and 4th Sundays from 1pm to 5pm. But, if you can't find exactly the type of dog or cat that you are looking for, be sure to ask one of the members of PAWS. Your name can be placed in our directory and when that type of dog or cat is found, you will be notified. This is also a great way to be sure that you are getting the best pet that is suited for both you and for your lifestyle. We can also offer a low-cost spay neuter certificate for your own pets which is redeemable at 3 vets in the Savannah area. Spaying/ neutering is the best thing you can do to help stop pet overpopulation!
The fee for adopting a dog through PAWS is only $110 for the whole package of spay/ neuter, heartworm tests and preventatives and all shots. Cats can be adopted for only $90. That's a small price to pay for unconditional love! The adoption option is the greatest thing you can do to help save a life. By buying a pet from a breeder or pet store, you are only supporting the retail business of selling lives rather than saving the unwanted lives that currently exist in numerous shelters and pounds across America.

Because we do not use a shelter, all of our animals are fostered in our own homes. Many of the animals available through PAWS can be seen on Saturdays or Sundays in Savannah, GA at the Petsmart on Abercorn St.(204) in the same plaza as Lowe's. PAWS will be at the adoption center every 1st,3rd and 5th Saturday from 2pm to 6pm and every 2nd and 4th Sunday from 1pm to 5pm.
