Our Adoptables
We have several dogs in boarding and a couple in foster homes. All dogs will have age-appropriate vaccines, spay/neuter, and be on heartworm prevention and be microchipped (if available) prior to adoption. The adoption fee is $200 to help cover our costs. We have much more money invested in each one.
For example, spay + microchip average cost is $255,
heartworm test: $25,
basic shots: $85,
dental cleaning: $220
... and that's just the beginning.
Not included - office visits, medications, flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention, etc.
In some cases a DNA Breed ID test has been performed and official documentation will be provided with the dog when adopted.
A home visit and reputable references are required. Please visit our official website and click on the Adoption Agreement Download for additional information.
***We do not adopt out unaltered dogs for any reason. Under no circumstances are our dogs to be used for fighting purposes.

Our purpose:
*to assist individuals and rescue groups in finding pit bull-type dogs responsible and loving forever homes;
*to provide useful resources to educate the community;
*to support humane euthanasia, STOP all use of gas chambers as a solution for pet overpopulation, with the ultimate goal of creating a No-Kill society; and
*to help restore the pit bull image as "America's Dog"
BullyWag, Inc. began as mother and daughter wanting to do more to help change some people's opinion of pit bull-type dogs. As time progressed, we became disappointed and frustrated with the huge numbers of pit bull-type dogs (or dogs that "look" like pit bull-type dogs) being euthanized in the state of Georgia. We then decided that our efforts should be somewhat re-focused to provide a positive look at pit bull-type dogs - promoting and highlighting their outstanding qualities. (Pit bull is a term often used to identify several breeds including The American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Bulldog, Miniature and Standard Bull Terriers.)
We do not have an actual sanctuary or shelter structure at this time, so we are unable to take in owner turn-ins or found dogs. The dogs that we do have for adoption are either in boarding or in a foster home. Ideally we would love to be able to take in every bully we come across, but we can only do so much at this time. We support and participate in dog transport which enables the dogs to travel state-to-state for rescue.
Adopting a canine friend/companion is as simple as viewing available pets, noting one(s) you are interested in, then going to our website and clicking on the Adoption Application Download. After completing the entire form with all necessary and relevant information, please email a copy to one of the addresses below.
If you are not quite ready to adopt, but are willing to consider becoming a foster parent, a Foster Home Application Download is also available on our website. Genuine foster parents are angels in disguise!
