Who We Are
CARE is a small all volunteer state licensed non-profit rescue in Pike county Georgia. Unfortunately, Pike county doesn't have animal control, so the majority of pets we have have been acquired through owner surrenders. All of our pets have a vet exam w/fecal, dogs heartworm tested, cats FeLv/FIV tested, spayed/neutered, given age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped with registration, dewormed and started on flea and heartworm preventative before being adopted. We do NOT allow any of our pets to be rehomed without first being spayed/neutered.
Adopting a friend
When you find a pet you are interested, contact us to receive an application. After reviewing your application, you will be contacted and we will conduct a phone interview to determine if the pet you've selected is gong to be a good choice for you and/or your family and to arrange a meeting for you to interact with the prospective new family member.

Our animals are housed on private property so an appointment has to be made to be able to view them during the week.
