Adopt 2 for the Price of One!
Mira and Aurelia were left behind, abandoned in a house after their previous owner moved away. They are both very sweet and would love to go home with a family of their own that won't abandon them again. Both are still fairly young, at only about a year old. They have been spayed and are ready to go to their new home today! The adoption fee is only $45 for the pair if you adopt them together.
Southern Felines In Peril is a small feline rescue organization in Colquitt, GA that takes in cats off the streets and pulls cats from a local high kill shelter near the area. It is run by one person and usually houses about ten cats of all ages at any given time. This rescue is new and just getting on its feet so any help or donations are greatly appreciated. We normally do not take in owner surrenders but will consider doing so if the surrender is due to special circumstances.
Looking to adopt one of our cats? Most adoption fees range from $20 to $50, depending on the cat and the medical attention he or she has received. You must complete an adoption contract which can be filled out at the time of adoption or emailed to you. All cats that are of age must be spayed or neutered before they can go home with you. This is to help prevent the pet overpopulation problem and reduce the amount of unwanted animals that end up in shelters, usually facing euthanasia. Since we are a small, out-of-the-way town, if you are approved for adoption we can arrange to meet you within an hour radius of where we are located, give or take. Feel free to email us if you have any questions about transport.
Can't adopt? Looking for another way to help? Southern Felines In Peril welcomes help of any and all kinds. Whether its helping to set up a fundraiser or just stopping by to give the cats a little TLC, everything is equally appreciated. Foster homes are also badly needed. If you wish to foster a cat just email us and we'll get back to you ASAP. You can also donate your Fresh Step litter Paw Points. Monetary donations are greatly appreciated and can be put towards specifically what you request. You can also help by donating one or more of the many items on our Wish List.
Don't forget to have your own pets spayed and neutered as well! By helping to stop pet overpopulation by keeping it from ever happening you are doing a great service to your community and the animal world.
