Hi, my name is Zeke, a young grey tabby (DSH) guy. I'm not what you'd call a "lap cat", but I can be affectionate on my own terms once I get to know you. I may never be a lap kitty but I sure don't want be on my own, 'cause the feral lifestyle wouldn't be for me. Perhaps you and I could work out a deal. You provide me with nice clean and safe digs in your barn, some good kibble (and my annual rabies shot), and I'll be on rat patrol 24/7. I'll be Zeke "the scourge of the rats" in your barn. Hey look, its all on my resume, right here! Oh, one other thing old Zeke should share with you, which is I've been neutered so I won't be fathering any baby Zekes. My name is actually a nickname for Ezekiel (you know, that prophet dude from the Bible). You could call me that on formal occasions, like on birthdays, anniversaries, that sort of thing. Oh yea, I love kittens too, I've kinda been a big brother figure to them here at the rescue. I get along great with most any cat, and if your cat is grumpy I know how to keep my distance. I'm a lover, not a fighter. So how about giving those folks at SFIP a call, 'cause I really would like to go to my new barn and have a place to call home.
Sincerely, Zeke

Zeke's adoption fee is only $20 which includes his neuter and rabies vaccination. He is a really sweet cat and likes affection, and loves to talk to you. He has really come around during his stay here.

Who We Are

Southern Felines In Peril is a small feline rescue organization in Colquitt, GA that takes in cats off the streets and pulls cats from a local high kill shelter near the area. It is run by one person and usually houses about ten cats of all ages at any given time. This rescue is new and just getting on its feet so any help or donations are greatly appreciated. We normally do not take in owner surrenders but will consider doing so if the surrender is due to special circumstances.

Adopting a friend

Looking to adopt one of our cats? Most adoption fees range from $20 to $50, depending on the cat and the medical attention he or she has received. You must complete an adoption contract which can be filled out at the time of adoption or emailed to you. All cats that are of age must be spayed or neutered before they can go home with you. This is to help prevent the pet overpopulation problem and reduce the amount of unwanted animals that end up in shelters, usually facing euthanasia. Since we are a small, out-of-the-way town, if you are approved for adoption we can arrange to meet you within an hour radius of where we are located, give or take. Feel free to email us if you have any questions about transport.
