Paws in the Park is one of the annual events sponsored by the Humane Society of Blue Ridge. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness about the homeless pets in the community and provide education benefiting these animals. We are inviting you to participate as an exhibitor in the 2008 Paws in the Park on October 25, 2008, at Blue Ridge City Park!
Activities include Pet Parade, costume contest, pet education, blessing of the pets, rabies clinic, microchipping, pet demonstrations, photos with you pets, music and much more
Who We Are
Our Mission Statement is:
• To provide for the welfare of animals who are abandoned, injured, mistreated or otherwise in need
• To work aggressively to place each animal into a responsible, loving and permanent home
• To strive to end the euthanasia of healthy, adoptable animals through education and by promoting and offering affordable spay and neuter procedures to control the population of unwanted animals in our area
• To advance the cause of humane treatment of animals and increase the awareness of animal issues through public education
• To encourage and promote within our community respect for all living things
