Who We Are
New Beginnings Animal Rescue, Inc., rescues out of the high-kill Liberty County Animal Control faciliy, which is located in Hinesville, GA. The dogs and cats that end up there were either found wandering stray by Animal Control officers or they were owner-surrendered. Animal Control in Liberty County only gives a week for owners to find their animals, if nobody comes looking for them they are euthanized each week - cats on Tuesday morning and dogs on Thursday morning. That's where New Beginnings Animal Rescue, Inc. comes in the picture!
Our group is made up entirely of volunteers. We meet the cats and dogs on weekends, as all of us work full-time jobs. We interact, temperament test and take pictures of them. We go home and write descriptions of them that are as honest as possible, and post them everywhere we can.
IMPORTANT: We do not know anything about the animals' history, which includes what shots they may have received or when their last (if ever) vet visit was. That is why there is no adoption fee.
Adopting a friend
In order to adopt from Liberty County Animal Control, through New Beginnings Animal Rescue, Inc., you must fill out and sign an adoption contract and mandatory spay/neuter agreement. Unless you are out of state you must purchase a spay/neuter voucher from us, which can be used at SNAC - http://www.snac1.com/snac_our_clinic.htm
Come Visit Us!
Take I-95 Exit 76 (Midway/Sunbury).
Follow Hwy 84 through Midway into Hinesville – 14 miles.
Once you pass through the traffic lights by the Hinesville Walmart you have about 6 miles to go until you get to another traffic light. That's where you take a right onto Airport Road.
Follow Airport Road about 2 miles and look for a white wooden fence on the left, as well as a brown sign that says "Liberty Humane Shelter" on it. Turn left.
Immediately to your left you will see the facility. One side is marked as animal control and the other as shelter.
