News

2011 has come to end. What a year, hoarding raids, neglect and cruelty cases. We had unscrupulous rescues ripping us off and then trying damage our reputation, but to no avail. :) God watches over us. Anyway a year of over 608 adoptions / rescues and still counting. Please adopt a dog and give a needed soul a loving home. Fostering is also a great option to help these poor babies get through their last few steps to their forever homes, Call and see how you can help. We are actively working on our events and endevors for 2012 Next year we are even closer to achieving our goals of opening two facilities one in South East Georgia and one in New Jersey. Maxs is going NATIONAL. Max's will try to alleviate the suffering of the neglected, abused, and homeless animals in the south, by helping them to be placed in quality homes and to provide to the people in the Northeast with the shortage of quality adoptable animals.

Who We Are

Max's Animal Rescue & Humane Society is a 501c3 not for profit organzation that surrives soley on the donations we receive. We are one of the few in our area of SE Georgia and the only shelter in our county. Our licensing allows us to take animals directly from death row shelters and provide them with care until their forever home can be found. We provide community awareness that instills the benefits of proper care and love for companion animals We provide all aspects of care to any animal in need that comes to our doors. We find loving lifetime homes for all our adoptable animals. We educate the public on importance of spay, neuter and the programs that are affordable and available. We have education and resource information to help promote responsible pet ownership

Adopting a friend

All animals adopted from Max's Animal Rescue will be up to date on there shots before leaving the rescue. Including rabies. All adoptable animals will be spayed or Neutered before adoption unless there is a medical issue at that point onlhy foster agreements will be done until alterations have been complete then we will finalize adoption paper work . Max's Animal Rescue has an adoption form to be completed and verified before any adoptions will be finalized. Including home visits.
