Who We Are

The Georgia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is a 501c3 not-for-profit oorganization dedicated to alleviating the pet overpopulation problem in Georgia.  As a "no-kill" organization, all healthy animals accepted by Georgia SPCA are placed in the adoption center or in a foster home until adopted.  All pets are fully vetted prior to adoption including all vaccinations, heartworm prevention, spay/neuter, flea prevention and microchip.

Goals of the Georgia SPCA include:

  •    Placing homeless and abandoned dogs and cats into loving homes
  •    Housing lost, strayed, unwanted and abused pets at our shelter or in foster homes    until  a  permanent home can be found
  •    Offering low-cost spay/neuter programs to reduce pet over-population
  •     Educating the public about responsible pet ownership
  •     Promoting humane education programs
  •     Alleviating cruelty, abuse, neglect and abandonment of all animals
  •     Partnering and consulting with local governments and law enforcement to identify and prosecute animal abuse cases
  •    Partnering and consulting with other adoption centers and humane organizations throughout Georgia to implement similar programs and guidelines within their organizations.
