Who We Are
We are the Animal Care and Control Facility for Clayton Co Georgia. The Clayton Co Animal Control Unit IS a kill-shelter so the animals seen here have a limited time to be available. We are a rescue-friendly facility so all licensed rescues are welcome. This is a goverment run facility so there is no vetting done on the animals here. You, as the adopter or rescue, are responsible for any and all vet work given. CCAC also cannot transport animals to rescues. If you have questions regarding any of the animals at this shelter please email your inquiries to our adoption coordinator at tinypawsrule@hotmail.com and we will answer them to the best of our ability. Please do not email questions regarding the animals vet history, whether the animals are housetrained, good with children, or good with other animals. Most of the animals here are strays and we have no history on them so these questions cannot be accurately answered.
Adopting a friend
WE HAVE MANY NEW DOGS AND CATS COME THROUGH THE DOORS DAILY SO PLEASE VISIT THE SHELTER TO FIND JUST THE RIGHT COMPANION FOR YOUR HOME.
All animals adopted from this facility MUST be spayed or neutered within 30 days of adoption. Adopters must then supply this facility with documentation from a vet showing that the animal they adopted has been sterilized. There is a small adoption fee and you will then receive a spay/neuter and rabies certificate at the time of your adoption that will help offset the cost of the vet visit.
