JUNE IS ADOPT A SHELTER CAT MONTH! FOR THIS MONTH ONLY ALL ADULTS ARE REDUCED TO A $90 DOLLAR ADOPTION FEE!
We are actively looking for responsible loving foster homes. Do you have an extra room in your home and a little extra love you could share with a homeless kitty? How about helping us help them! All food, litter and medical care is provided!
The cats will be tested for FIV (feline aids) and FeLV (feline leukemia), vaccinated when old enough, dewormed, micro-chipped, spayed/neutered when old enough and other routine medical care. We will handle all of the adoption and screening procedures. You must be willing to care for the rescued cat from the time it's put into foster care until its ready for adopted. Please understand that depending on the cat this could be weeks ...or months. Fostering can be very rewarding and a lot of fun! Please contact us if you are interested or have any questions.
Who We Are
The Cherokee County Humane Society is non-profit organization dedicated to help find permanent loving homes for shelter, neglected and stray animals. We are a network of foster homes not a shelter.
Adopting a friend
All of our cats prior to adoption are: Spayed or neutered, dewormed, flea treated, tested for feline aids and leukemia, micro-chipped and have their age appropriate vaccinations.
We strive to find all our animals loving forever indoor homes. If you are interested in adopting please see our Pet List! If you find a pet you would like to meet or adopt please contact us and we will send you an application for adoption.

You may come by anytime to visit our cats in the cat rooms. Adoptions are held every Saturday at each location from 11am to 4pm, also during the week by appointment only. Stop by to see our kitties!
