Our Featured Pet...

Peaches & Pumpkin

June is Adopt a Shelter Cat Month! We just happen to have two that are available. These two are sisters and would love to stay together. They were living with their mom in the woods but a kind person took them in at 3 weeks old along with their other siblings. Mom was feral so she was spayed and released. They are spayed, up to date on shots and negative for feline Leukemia. They love attention and are not afraid of dogs. They will be a year old this month. Their siblings have found homes but these two are still waiting for a forever home.

ROCKY

06/01/03 - 07/16/07 Rocky has come back home to his final resting place. He will forever be in our hearts.

7/17/07 A few words about Rocky

Last night at 9pm Rocky laid down in Donna's arms and passed away. You feel so helpless and insignificant at a moment like this. Trying everything you know, but powerless to stop the inevitable. We knew when we adopted Rocky that due to his health problems he most likely would have a short life. Even thought you know in the back of your mind that this day would eventually come, It does not make it any easier. It didn't matter if you were having the worst day ever, when Rocky put his head on your lap and looked up at you all those troubles just seem to melt away. It is real hard to believe that when we come home he won't be at the door waiting to greet us. He gave unconditional love to you and asked for nothing in return except maybe a pat on his head. It is a real sad day here at Rocky's Boxer Rescue. As I write these words and look out the window at the rain coming down it seems the whole world has a tear in it's eye for such a great dog. Jim

Who We Are

Rocky's Boxer Rescue was created because of my love of Boxers and is the only Boxer Rescue based in N.Georgia. We are a no kill rescue that relies on foster homes to house these dogs until they are placed in permanent homes. Our animals are well cared for and in foster homes until adopted. When space is available we can accept owner turn-in's, but require that the dog is purebred or high mix and non aggressive. A donation from the owner to off-set expenses is appreciated. We are willing to help you work with your dog to be better able to keep it or you can foster it until it is adopted.

Our priority is to save the ones in animal control first as they do not have much time.

Adopting a friend

Our goal is to place rescued Boxers with families that we feel is the best fit for both you and your new Boxer. To apply for any of these dogs or to be pre approved please email the person noted under the dog for an application. Please understand that not every dog is perfect for every individual/family which is why we may ask even more questions than on the application. Sometimes the dog you may want is not the dog suitable for your situation. We want the adoption to be a happy and permanent one for both you and the dog. All our dogs are in foster homes and are evaluated for temperament, heartworm tested, vaccinated, microchipped and spay/neuter before being adopted to their new home. Thank you for considering a rescue dog.

Come Visit Us!

We have adoptions every Saturday at various locations in the Forsyth County and N.Fulton County area. Please check calendar events for upcoming adoptions locations and time.
