All of our fosters are special! We will use this space to highlight special needs animals from time to time. Please visit www.cofas.org to get more recent information in our "Pets in Need " section.
Who We Are
Circle of Friends Animal Society, Inc. opened its "doors" and hearts in January 2007. We hope to grow as a group and be able to help many animals. We are located in Greensboro, GA and most of our rescued animals come from Putnam or Greene County animal control. All of our animals are kept in foster homes where they are loved, socialized and housetrained. All are spayed or neutered, are current on their shots and are tested for FIV/FLV or heartworms before being released for adoption. To help cover part of the cost, we request an adoption fee of $110 for dogs and $85 for cats.
Adopting a Friend
Please contact the foster mom listed under the individual photos of our adoptable animals for more information about that pet. We also attend adoption events at PETSMART in Loganville, GA most Saturdays from 11 to 3 p.m. Please call us to make sure we will be there on a particular day.
The Circle Begins
Circle of Friends Animal Society was founded in January of 2007 by eight friends with 80 years of experience in animal welfare between them. They had worked in many organizations over the years and wanted to use their knowledge and skills, add all the best practices and most innovative ideas they had discovered, and follow a different path than a typical humane society. They set out to create an organization that would address the multiple problems of animal welfare with positive, humane solutions.
Our Philosophy
Circle of Friends believe that animals deserve our kindness and that being kind to animals brings forth our best human qualities and creates a more compassionate society. We believe that every life is precious, and we do not put a price tag on that life. If an animal needs an investment of time, money, and effort to have a chance at a happy life, we will not turn that animal away.
The Circle Grows
Circle of Friends is financed entirely by our supporters; we receive no government funding. Your individual contribution is our single most important source of income. Through the generous hearts and helping hands of people like you, we can ensure that animals that come into our care will live their lives without the fear and pain of homelessness, neglect, and abuse. Thank you for joining the Circle and becoming a part of a more compassionate world.
