Castaway Critters is a no-kill animal rescue group based in Blairsville, GA. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization who rely on contributions and fundraisers to support our rescued animals.
Castaway's goal is to find a forever-loving home for each one of the animals. We travel to Pet Smart in Alpharetta, GA, Petco in Milton, GA and to Highlands, NC. Also, we have local adoptions at the Feed and Seed Store in Hayesville, NC. During the adoption process the adoptee fills out a four page application and pays $225 adoption fee per dog and $100 per cat. This fee covers spay/neuter, heart worm test, deworming, up-to-date shots, and any other medical needs the animal may need while under our care. Most importantly, sometimes we believe a home visit is necessary to make to sure the animal and the adoptee are the perfect match. Also, follow up phone calls are made to make sure the animal and the family are all happy.
