Furever Friends Pet Rescue is a 501c3 charitable non-profit organization made up of volunteers dedicated to finding homes for unwanted pets. The organization is licensed and inspected by the Georgia Department of Agriculture.
Furever Friends Pet Rescue is a "no kill" organization. Adoptable animals stay with us until they find their forever home. We get them completely vetted and feed them a high quality diet from Hill's Science Diet. In an effort to curb pet overpopulation and be part of the solution to the problem, we spay or neuter EVERY pet prior to adoption. We operate an adoption center in McDonough at 1950 Jonesboro Rd., in the Petsmart. Additional animals are cared for in foster homes and may be seen by appointment.

NEWS
DONATIONS NEEDED
.
It costs money to be able to rescue animals. While our adoption fees cover the basic costs, many animals come to us needing additional care such as dental work or special medications. You can help us continue helping animals like those above by making a tax deductible donation here! 100% of all donations is used to help animals - we have no paid staff, only volunteers. After monetary donations our next biggest need is a donation of time as a volunteer - usually only 4 hours a month! See our "Volunteers Welcome" section below for information if this is how you can help.
Can't donate your money or your time? Other items we can always use: old bath towels, dry and canned cat food, litter (all types), paper towels, hand soap, dishwasing liquid, regular (non-ultra) bleach, office supplies, wire cages and pet carriers.

ADOPTING A FRIEND
Please email us for an application at
fureverfriends@comcast.net The application does not commit you to adopting, but helps us insure that your home would be a good match for the pet you are interested in prior to setting an appointment. Once your application has been received and approved an appointment will be scheduled for you to meet the pet you are interested in. We reserve the right to select the application that will best meet the needs for each pet we place.
Our adoption fees are $100 per cat and $150 per dog. We give a $30 discount for a second adoption if completed within 2 weeks of the first adoption. All animals are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. They are also vaccinated for rabies and distemper and treated for any parasites such as fleas, worms or ear mites. Cats are tested for Feline Leukemia and Aids and dogs over 6 months old are tested for heartworms. Each adoption includes a free 4 lb. bag of Science Diet food.and an instructional DVD.
VOLUNTEERS ARE WELCOME!
We welcome new volunteers. You could make a difference in saving the life of a cat or dog. If you live in the Rockdale, Newton or Henry County area and can spare about 4 hours a month to volunteer or you would be willing to provide a temporary home for a pet in need, please give us call or email us for a volunteer application.
FOSTER HOMES: We don't have a physical shelter and all of our animals are housed at foster homes. Our foster parents chose the animal they would like to help and may chose to concentrate on a specific breed or age range. Equipment and veterinary care is provided by the organization.
CAT CUDDLERS: Can you commit to 4 hours a month? We need volunteers who are willing to take care of the cats at the adoption center at the Petsmart in McDonough. This takes about 1 hour 1 morning a week - you choose the day.. Of course, besides cuddling with the cats, they also need to have their litter scooped and their food and water bowls filled. No experience needed! We will be glad to train you.
ADOPTION COUNSELORS: You and a friend would help show the cats and take applications at the McDonough Petsmart on either a Saturday or a Sunday afternoon one day a month. If you don't have a friend to go with you, we can find one for you! Again, we provide the training and you can feel good that you helped these babies find loving homes.
FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE: You would help organize and work behind the scenes at fundraising activities. We try to limit the time committment we ask of our volunteers to 4 hours a month so that they will be willing to continue to help. If this sounds like something you would be willing to do email us! .
FUNDRAISING CHAIRMAN: Do you like to be in charge and are you the type of person that can get things done? If you are experienced with fundraising or feel like you are committed enough to be in charge, we are also looking for a fundraising chairman. Raising funds is crucial to help keep our rescue program running.
