Adopting A Cat
Looking For A New Cat? - Getting a new cat or kitten can be an exciting time for your whole family, and we're here to help you not only find a great new kitten but also with any future care your kitten needs. Classic City Cat Clinic is Athens only exclusively cat clinic (No Dogs Allowed) and we're happy to say that we love cats as much as our clients do!
Our hospital provides full veterinary care, boarding, and grooming and now we provide homes for kittens in need. The kittens and cats that you see available for adoption come from families in the Athens area that have found them or could care for them. Our goal is to provide great homes for great kittens.
All of the kittens have tested negative to Feline Leukemia Virus and have received the appropriate vaccines. They are also treated for intestinal parasites and fleas. Our veterinarians provide complete physical exams to be sure that the kittens are healthy and have good dispositions before they are adopted. All kittens are spayed/neutered before they are adopted. None of our cats are declawed and we do not adopt them to families that plan on declawing them.
PLEASE NOTE: WE ONLY ADOPT CATS/KITTENS TO FAMILIES IN THE IMMEDIATE ATHENS AREA .
Classic City Cat Clinic is a licensed shelter through the Georgia Department of Agriculuture.
If you are interested in adopting a kitten, please stop by Classic City Cat Clinic or give us a call. Please note that the kittens are available on a first-come-first-serve basis and we usually do not "hold" kittens for potential adoptors. Please be aware that adoptors must sign a contract in which they agree to care for the kitten, complete any needed vaccines, and not to declaw the kitten at any time. These treatments are to be done at specific dates at the cost of the new owner .
Surrendering a Kitten
If you have kittens and need to find good homes for them, you can call us at 706-613-PURR (7877) to see if we have available space. We will schedule a free appointment with a veterinarian to evaluate whether your kittens can be placed by us. All kittens must be under 14 weeks old, healthy, and friendly. Classic City Cat Clinic is a no - kill adoption center, so we have room for new kittens when others are adopted out.
