Who We Are
PLEASE NOTE: WE ONLY ADOPT IN THE NORTH METRO ATLANTA AREA!!!
Because we are an all-volunteer foster based organization, we are not able to conduct requisite pre- and post-adoption home visits outside of the north Metro Atlanta area. Therefore we ONLY adopt to residents in the north Metro Atlanta area. Thank you for your understanding.
SmallDog Rescue & Humane Society, Inc is a 501 (c) (3), tax-exempt organization dedicated to find loving families for homeless dogs in the Atlanta area. Every year, over 90,000 animals are killed in Georgia shelters. Our vounteers rescue many dogs from local shelters and foster them in their own homes until a suitable forever home is found. We do not shy away from taking sick or difficult dogs into our program. Thanks to donations, we are able to provide excellent medical care for all of our little orphans. Our volunteers work tirelessly on training, socializing, and giving the dogs all of the loving care that they so much deserve. Thanks to our friends and supporters, we have been able to rescue hundreds of dogs in each of the past three years. It is caring individuals like you who can make a difference in the lives of our wonderful orphan dogs.

Adopting a Friend
You can view our adoptables and fill out an online application or you can come to adoptions every Saturday from noon to 4 PM at the PETCO store in Sandy Springs to see the dogs in person and fill out an application while at adoptions. Your application will be reviewed by a volunteer screener. After the inital screening, it will be sent to the selection comittee for aproval. The adoption fee is $250, part of which is tax-deductible. All of the money is used to pay our dogs' medical bills and day to day care.
Come Visit Us!
You can visit our adoption site every Saturday from noon to 4pm at the Petco store on the corner of Hammond Drive and Roswell Road. The address is 5938 Roswell Road N.E., Atlanta, GA 30328. We also hold adoptions at least one Sunday a month in front of the PetSmart in the North Point Shpping Center, 6370 North Point Pkwy, Alpharetta, GA.
