Who We Are

Heart of Dixie Akita Rescue, Inc., is an Akita rescue group primarily serving North Carolina, South Carolina, Eastern Tennessee, and Southeast Kentucky, but networking throughout the Southeast. We are currently awaiting our 501(c)(3) nonprofit status, and are recognized as a North Carolina nonprofit group. It is our purpose to serve as an information resource for the Akita breed and to help deserving orphaned Akitas find new loving forever homes.
