About Us
Kitty City Rescue is a private, not for profit rescue organization based in North Georgia. This rescue was formed in June of 2004 by a group of frustrated volunteers, desperate to help save the millions of animals dying in kill shelters in North Georgia.Today, KCR has grown into a nationwide network of licensed rescuers, transport volunteers, and animal lovers. Together we have saved hundreds of wonderful pets from spending their final days scared and alone, in a county animal control cage.
*Remember, you can find almost any animal through rescue--you do NOT need to buy one from a breeder. There are millions of purebred, wonderful animals looking for a family and a home. Kitty City specializing in matching death row shelter animals with 'furever' homes. If you would like to give a shelter pet a chance, email us at kittycityrescue@gmail.com and we will direct you to animals of your choice that are most in need!*
*PLEASE NOTE*~ KCR does NOT have a shelter facility, only a network of generous and dedicated foster homes. Please do not try to surrender your personal pets to us, as we do not have the intake capacity for this, at this time. If you need to re home an animal, we will be glad to offer assistance by: 1)posting a courtesy listing of your animal on this site* 2)offering suggestions/ideas 3) providing adoption resources (such as adoption applications to send to your prospective adopters, phone screening techniques) 4)referring your situation to active rescue lists. **
