Adopting a new friend through All About Animals is a very rewarding experience for all involved
Do YOU have a place in your home to share with a needy animal? Please check out our pet list for new additions. If you don't see the animal you want, or if you are looking for a particular type of cat or dog, kitten or puppy, please contact us. We may have exactly the animal you are looking for, just waiting in the wings for our photographer to come and visit or we may know where to find that special pet.
We are an independent organization and depend solely on adoption fees, fundraisers, and donations to operate. We try our best to match the dogs with the needs, wants, personalities, and lifestyles of potential adopters to ensure a healthy, happy, & permanent home. Each week, new animals are rescued and we hold pet adoptions at the following locations:
PetsMart in Macon and Warner Robins, GA on Sundays from 12:00 Noon to 4:30pm, Mobile Adoption Clinics, and through internet callers.
WHY SO MANY BLACK DOGS? Black or darker colored dogs, especially the larger sized ones, are often the first to get euthanized at pounds, shelters, & humane societies when space becomes an issue. People tend to overlook the black/darker dogs for the lighter colored dogs - they see darker dogs as "just another black dog" rather than as a unique individual. It doesn't matter if the dog is purebred or not - if a dog is brought to a shelter/pound/humane society and they have dark colored fur, their chance of getting adopted is very slim. This is a shame because black dogs are just as wonderful as lighter colored dogs. We will waive the adoption fee for some of our long-time dogs if you meet the criteria for adoption.
Please consider adopting a darker colored dog today!
