We are open M-F 8-4pm.

Adopting a friend
Our adoption fee is $25.00 for DOGS and $5.00 for CATS.
THE FEES MUST BE PAID AT CITY HALL DURING REGULAR OPERATING HOURS.
This includes a certificate to any Georgia Veterinarian for $30.00 off spay an neuter surgery for the pet.
Additionally, for using the Metter Veterinary Clinic you will recieve an additional 20% off spay an neuter plus the dogs first rabies shot is free of charge at the time of surgery. We also offer reduce spay/nueter from S.O.A.P.S. that will cover up to $100.00 for the surgery at selected vets in the area for adopted animals.

Homes are needed for these animals! We are a city operated shelter! We are short of volunteers and families and need all we can get!.
We can always use donations! Leashes and collars are helpful and also dog treats to reward the dogs for well behavior!
If you cant donate items or money your time is even better!
Take time to come play with a dog after work or for 30 minutes! Any time spent with these animals is appreciated!~

Unfortunately we are a kill shelter and if homes aren't found the dogs/cats will be Euthanized!

Metter Animal Shelter is located on East Hiawatha Street right off Hwy 46. Or at exit 104 off I-16! Our hours are different each day, usually someone is at the shelter MO-Fr. from 8:00 - 4:00 but in and out due to calls!
If you want to stop by call us or email me and I will make sure someone can be there!
We are open sometimes, due to volunteers, on Saturdays from 9-12.
