SMART has some very nice dogs that need homes as soon
as possible! One of our foster parents can't continue to foster
after December and we will need somewhere for these dogs
to go---hopefully to a happy permanent home! Please consider
adding one of our dogs to your family!
We appreciate all that you do for us, but we are in constant need
of funds to maintain the animals that we rescue. Currently, as
a fundraiser, we are selling 2008 calendars with some beautiful
artwork. There are several different calendars to choose from and

Who We Are
Seminole-Miller Animal Rescue Team, Inc. or "SMART" is a non-profit animal welfare organization that began in March 2004. We promote the adoption and responsible guardianship of homeless, neglected, abused, and abandoned domestic animals, and advocate their humane treatment. We strive to prevent animal over-population in our communities through an aggressive spay/neuter program and through
educating the public about the importance of spaying and neutering
animals.
It is very hard for a rural county to support an animal care center on
its own resources. We hope to help facilitate the completion of a
animal care center which will serve the surrounding counties that wish
to contract with us for services. Thanks to seventeen interested citizens and animal lovers, a five acre tract of land has been purchased that will serve as our starting point . We feel that our approach may be the most
cost-efficient way for rural counties to provide animal welfare and
animal control services. We are very excited and welcome

Adopting a friend
When adopting one of our animals we ask that you complete an adoption application. We ask for references and may inspect your
home. We want to feel comfortable that we are placing the pet with the right parents and in the right environment.
