ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS/PROCEDURES:
Almost all of these rescue dogs require a fenced yard for potty & exercise. An electronic fence is not acceptable.
If you are interested in adopting a collie, please ask for an application even if you don't see the collie you think would be the best fit for your family, as new collies are coming in weekly. About 1/3 of the dogs we take in are heartworm positive, which is very expensive to treat, as well as very hard on the dog. Donations are always needed, as are foster homes. Who We Are
St. Francis Rescue, Inc., licensed by the State of Georgia, was established in 2001 to rehabilitate and rehome needy collies. We do not operate a facility open to the public. Our collies are cared for in private foster homes as they await adoption into their forever homes. The majority of our rescue collies require homes with fenced yards for exercise. All dogs listed on this site are indoor dogs. All are altered prior to adoption, have their teeth cleaned, if necessary, are heartworm and fecal negative, are vaccinated, treated for fleas and groomed.
St. Francis Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, tax exempt organization. Donations are tax-deductible as provided by law.
