Our Featured Pet...

Our featured pet would be Victor. Victor came to us in August of 2006. He was living in pine bedding all of his short 5 years of life. He was diagnosed with a lung tumor in September of 2006. Victor has been on medications for almost 1 year. Our vet gave Victor 3 months to live (December 2006) but he is still with us today, August 2007. Victor has BEAT THE ODDS and has lived almost a year with this lung tumor. Even with having all these medical problems, he is the most loving ferret we have ever had. Due to all of his aliments, he is not currently up for adoption but if you would like to help Victor or any of the ferrets in our rescue, please see our contact information at the bottom of the page.

Georgia F.E.R.R.E.T.S. is a home based nonprofit state licensed ferret rescue for the state of Georgia. We are hoping that one day we will be put out of business and that no ferret is homeless. Our commitment is making sure that every ferret in the state of Georgia has a home where they receive love, affection and care every day of their precious life.

It is sad to say that Georgia F.E.R.R.E.T.S. Inc. receives calls daily about surrenders or ferrets needing to be placed within our rescue. The demand is very high for ferret rescue. Below are ways that you can help the ferrets that are in such need even if you cannot offer them a forever home.

Ways that you can help the ferrets in our care are by donating gift certificates to Petsmart or Walmart, food, hammocks, sleep sacks, vitamin supplements, and Hill's A/D prescription diet.

Monetary donations can be made out to the rescue or sent to our vet, Avalon Animal Hospital (with georgia ferrets in the for section) for the many needed medical treatments or surgeries, which are also appreciated.

NEW: Georgia F.E.R.R.E.T.S. Inc. has several used cages, supplies and many other items for your ferret or other small animal. Please check with us for you ferret or small animal needs. Thanks!

Georgia F.E.R.R.E.T.S. Inc. is a nonprofit rescue dedicated to the protection and well being of the domesticated ferret in Georgia. Our goal is to make sure that all ferrets find a forever loving home. We do not turn ferrets away because of age, health, temperamant or needs.

Adopting a friend

If you are interested in one of our ferrets, please call us at 404-281-5231 to discuss adopting a ferret from us. There is an adoption application and process that must be completed before a ferret can be adopted. We can explain this in greater detail when you give us a call. We look forward to helping your family decide if a ferret is the right pet for your family. We do adoptions and viewings on the weekends because we work regular jobs to support the ferrets.

Come Visit Us!
