Rest My Paws, Yorkshire Terrier Foster & Rescue

FOSTER HOMES ARE NEEDED IN GEORGIA.

Who We WERE (we are now closed)

Rest My Paws, Great Pyrenees Rescue, operates in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. We once had a Georgia Department of Agriculture shelter license for the rescues but funds ran out and we could no longer renew the license fees, along with other rescue expenses such as medical, routine vaccinations, neuter/spay, and daily care expenses. Thus, our adoption territory is within the state of Georgia, concentrated in Atlanta and surrounding counties. Due to adoption conditions, we do not take in dogs or adopt out dogs too much beyond beyond a 2-hour drive from Atlanta. Our primary focus is the Great Pyrenees and any special needs dogs. We support all efforts to reduce overpopulation of our animal friends which decreases euthanization. We support legislation toward making cruelty to animals a felony and the prosecution thereof to the fullest extent of the law.

Adopting a friend

To assure you have found the best friend for your needs and environment, research the breed or mixed breed before adopting. Some breeds are more susceptible to different diseases than others. The larger the breed, the more expense of routine and special medical care, including routine heartworm preventatives and flea and tick control.
